Roger Smeitink - Founder & CEO

Since 1991 Roger has been securing assets and enforcing law and policy. Roger's 13 year policing career began in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In the last 3 years as an officer Roger managed and developed the Police districts website and managed and enforced arrest warrants for the Police district he worked in.

In 2003, Roger moved to Ontario where he used his policing skills as a Loss Prevention Officer and a Private Investigator working undercover in several retail stores to decrease store losses. At the same time Roger worked at night as a Security Guard at the Academie Ste. Cecile International School located in Windsor.

In moving to Edmonton in 2006 and Leduc in 2010, Roger found his way into the Security and Loss Prevention field, where he is today. Over the last 9 years Roger has worked as a Loss Prevention Manager for Safeway managing 55 undercover Loss Prevention Officers followed by working as a senior security officer for PCL, one of the leading construction companies in Canada. 

Throughout his career, Roger has levitated to leadership. As a Loss Prevention Manager, Roger has lead projects and teams to successful outcomes and he has successfully mentored and coached staff to achieve their personal and professional goals.

  
For the next stage of his career, Roger founded Black Gold Security, where he intends to utilize his 29 plus years of experience and finely tuned analytical and organizational skills to provide quality Security and Loss Prevention services in the Leduc and surrounding area.
